senegal to berlin Hearing me complain about my job isn't that unusual so be prepared for something a little different today. Before I left work this morning I had a private meeting with my boss. He wanted to discuss some upcoming changes in the department and just touch base with the people on his staff. Almost everyone else met with him during my vacation so I got to meet with him by myself. On The Amazing Race the teams left Africa for Berlin, Germany and as usual I was entertained by what I saw. Berlin is one of the few places in Europe that I have visited more than once so I recognized almost everywhere they went in the episode. Naturally the teams saw Zoo Station, Kaiser Wilhelm Church, the Brandenburg Gate and part of what is left of the Berlin Wall. The only part that I didn't know was when they did the soapbox derby race, but that was outside of the city. As with most episodes the teams try to get the cab drivers to drive as fast as possible. Sadly none of the teams seemed to know any German. I, however, kept shouting schnell for them as they made their way through the city. ...
